Special Geometry

Axial-flux, slotless and other non-standard structures are evaluated only after drawing and duty cycle review.

10A1200–65W1000 materials and 0.10–0.65 mm laminations provide a clear starting range for drawing review.
Custom Size Range
30–1150 mm OD and 5–600 mm stack height cover compact, medium and large custom core categories.
Magnetic Targets
≥1.69 T at B₅₀ and 2.0–4.7 W/kg at 1.5 T, 50 Hz, grade-dependent; ≤2.0 W/kg achievable with drawing-specified ultra-low-loss grades.
Acceptance Targets
Conditional burr ≤0.02 mm, flatness ≤0.03 mm (size-dependent) and –40°C to +180°C service range are confirmed per project.

What is a Custom Motor Stator Core?

A custom motor stator core is a non-standard laminated electrical-steel component built to customer drawings for motor architectures that fall outside standard catalog ranges. Each project is reviewed against seven engineering parameters—material grade, lamination thickness, slot geometry, stack construction, joining method, inspection datums, and production volume—to ensure the core meets the exact motor design requirements.

The deliverable is the stator iron core or lamination stack only. Copper winding, coil insertion, VPI, terminals, bus bars, sensors, and winding electrical tests are outside the supply scope.

Drawing Review

OD, bore, slot count, slots, tooth width, yoke, stack height, lamination thickness, reference datums and production volume are reviewed.

Material Review

Electrical-steel grade, lamination thickness, insulation coating, core loss target and magnetic flux density (B₅₀) are confirmed.

Tooling Route

Tooling Approach — Laser-cut samples, wire-EDM or stamping tooling are selected based on production volume and part geometry.

Lamination Production

Slot profile, bore, OD, tooth width, yoke thickness, burr height and lamination flatness are verified against the drawing.

Stack and Join

Interlocking, bonding, welding, riveting or clamping is applied as specified; stack height is controlled within drawing tolerance.

Core Inspection

OD, bore, slot dimensions, stack height, flatness, concentricity, perpendicularity, runout and burr height are recorded; surface and coating integrity are visually inspected.
